Every year millions of disposable paper cups are used to serve coffee and other drinks to customers in coffee outlets, cafés, or restaurants. The cups are made from paper fibres that are coated with a thin plastic layer that acts as a barrier to stop the liquids seeping out. The paper fibres used are of high quality and so can be given a new lease of life and upcycled into new and useful everyday objects. The new My Rec’Up range by Oxford is a range of 100% recycled notebooks with a difference. The covers are made from 100% recycled card that contains 20% recycled fibres from waste paper cups. The paper cups are collected, baled, and sent to a recycling plant where 100% of the paper fibres used to make the cups are converted back into paper. The high quality of the fibres ensures a high quality card with a natural touch and feel. The covers are lightly printed with a range of 6 natural colour options. The My Rec’Up range contains 100% natural white recycled Optik Paper for a comfortable writing experience with no show-through of ink. The A5 and A4 My Rec’Up notebooks are compatible with the free SCRIBZEE application. Scan and save your handwritten notes to the cloud and give new life to the paper fibres by recycling your notebook.
